Predicting Endometriosis Mechanisms and Populations (PEMP)

Our mission

Many women’s health conditions have limited treatments available and poor outcomes, in part due to the lack of understanding of the disease and lack of data available. This is particularly true for endometriosis, a condition that affects 1 in 10 women. Diagnostic delays can average 7-10 years, whilst treatments at the moment involve recurrent surgeries and hormonal contraceptives. We are conducting a study that aims to discover new biomarkers and mechanisms that may cause diseases like endometriosis, with the ultimate goal of developing therapies against them.

If you are undergoing a procedure related to your gynaecological health (coil insertion, laparoscopic surgery, etc.) and your consultant is in Cambridge (Rosie) or Peterborough hospitals, you could be eligible to take part in this study. You can either speak directly to your consultant or contact us below.
