Science Operations Manager

We are looking for someone to join our team, as we scale our data collection and lab experiments! The role will involve the following: 

• Coordinating our work with Peterborough and Cambridge hospitals for our observational clinical study, including travel to the hospitals for sample collection and communication with participants and beyond for menstrual fluid collection.  

• Organising laboratory operations and managing the smooth running of the lab, including handling of stocks and ordering, compliance and QMS, health and safety, etc. 

• Handling human tissue stored under REC-approved studies and/or a Human Tissue Act license. 

• Possibility to extend the role to science communications outreach or towards laboratory experiments and sample or data processing.

Required Qualifications: 

• 2+ years experience operating in a laboratory or clinical setting.

• Experience handling biological samples.

• Experience working in a highly collaborative environment.

• Ability to drive and UK-compatible driving license. 

Preferred: 

• Experience in taking consent.

• Experience in sample transport. 

• Experience handling human samples.
